42 South Surf School, based in Scamander on Tasmania's East Coast, offers private surf lessons from A$100 for 1.5 hours, along with surfboard, SUP and wetsuit hire, including local delivery and pickup in the Scamander area, and group and school sessions. Instructors include Gary Egan and Mark. The school runs the Woolworths SurfGroms program, a games-based group learning format for children, and operates across four locations, including Scamander, Clifton Beach near Hobart, and Devonport Beach. It operates seven days a week from 8am to 5pm.
