Get Wet Surf School

Get Wet Surf School, established in 2005 and based at The Spit on the Gold Coast, offers beginner lessons for adults and kids, private lessons, a 'Squids' program for ages 6-9, kids lessons for ages 10-13, a 6-week groms program for ages 8-14, family lessons, and school and corporate group lessons. Lessons are conducted in waist-deep water at a coaching ratio of 5:1 for adults and 4:1 for children, with a complimentary shuttle from central Surfers Paradise, free onsite parking, and equipment (wetsuit, rash shirt, surfboard, sunscreen) provided. Instructors are certified to Surfing Australia standards and are fully qualified surf lifesavers, and the business is accredited and approved by Gold Coast City Council. It won the 2015 QTIC Prize for Innovation in Tourism. Children under 6 require a private lesson.
