Godfathers of the Ocean Surf School Burleigh

Godfathers of the Ocean, based at Burleigh Heads Beach in front of the Burleigh Heads Surf Club, Queensland, was co-founded by Krista Barry, who holds a Master of Applied Positive Psychology, and Michael "Munga" Barry, a former World Championship Tour professional surfer with 12 years on tour and 17 years of coaching experience. The school opened for business in April 2001 and is affiliated with Surfing Australia Surf Schools and is Supply Nation Certified. Services include group lessons capped at 4 participants per coach, private lessons, family and ladies-only ("Goddesses of the Ocean") lessons, bodyboarding classes, corporate programs, and a "Flow Like Water Academy" ocean therapy program, with softboards, legropes, and wetshirts supplied.
