Salty Girls Surf School

Salty Girls Surf School was founded in 2007 by Belen Alvarez Kimble, who moved from Hawaii to Australia, and is an owned-and-operated all-female surf school. The business is based on the Tweed Coast of NSW, a 25-minute drive south of the Gold Coast/Coolangatta Airport and 45 minutes north of Byron Bay, operating as a mobile school primarily at Cabarita Beach and Hastings Point. Services include group and private lessons, 5-week surf clinics, 5-day holiday surf camps for kids and teens, video coaching clinics, a 2-day Ocean Women Workshop, and surf therapy, aimed at women, teens and young girls from beginner to advanced level. First-time lessons are taught in waist-deep water with small groups and high coach-to-student ratios. Instructors include Belen, Luisa, Wendy, Aimee and Sally, all professional qualified female surf coaches.
